As the mom of 5 boys, and a former tomboy myself, I am surprised and amazed that we have to have experts tell us how to let our children experience the world. I am also an early childhood educator and have seen children who have never played in mud or sand or with finger paint! Here is one for you, make a homemade zipline. My 14 year old twins designed and built this...by climbing the trees at each end!
